Summary
The New Zealand transport sector encompasses a wide range of organisations each with their own specific performance focus. Their performance measures focus on all different levels of the transport system: asset, project, programme, organisation, regional and national. This case study focuses specifically on what is happening at the sector level, in particular the recently developed performance measurement systems of the Ministry of Transport Te Manatū Waka and the investment performance framework of Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency.
