Introducing Nick Currie

We recently welcomed Nick to our team as a Consultant/Analyst - below he shares a bit about his background and life outside of work.

Born and raised in Christchurch, I made the decision to move to Dunedin in 2016 to study a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology at the University of Otago. After enjoying the learnings both Otago and the Psychology department had to offer, I decided to continue by pursuing postgraduate studies. For my honours, I examined the cognitive and motivational factors in first impressions, and in my master’s, I examined how age affects emotional recognition and cognitive intelligence. I thoroughly enjoyed my years studying psychology and have become very aware of myself and others around me.

After university, I had become fascinated in decision-making, strategic thinking, and analysis. This led me to starting a role as a Support Intelligence Analyst where I could use my education in a practical setting. This role involved using multiple types of analysis to convert information into actionable intelligence. My interest in internal and external motivators, and quality outcomes, have become key drivers early in my professional career.

Outside of my academic and professional career, my interests include football, high intensity interval training (HIIT), gym, disc golf, reading, and gaming. I also tend to over-indulge in TV and/or movie series if it hooks me in.

I am extremely excited to be in my new role and look forward to working with an incredible team!

Thanks Nick, we look forward to having you as part of our team.
